What do you love about John’s? What I love about John’s is that its small size means you can get to know almost everyone.
Favourite newspaper section? My favourite section in the Chronicle is Arts and Culture because I worked on it for a year and loved the creativity, but I also really love the Once a Johnian section for the variety of stories!
Second Year, English Literature
What do you love about John’s? I love the John’s community because it is so tight knit – it’s nice to come to uni and be able to get to know everyone in your college!
Favourite newspaper section? My favourite section in a newspaper is probably features, because I love reading about different people’s opinions and perspectives.

What do you love about John’s? The people! Everyone is really friendly and you get to know everyone in John’s and so it is an amazing place to try different sports and societies and have fun!
Favourite newspaper section? Definitely the sports section and the commentaries.

What do you love about John’s? I love the size of Johns- you get to know everyone really well, none of the sports/docs are intimidating, and everyone gets the opportunity to feel like they play a big part in college life.
What is your favourite newspaper section? My favourite section in a newspaper probably sport – i love catching up with the sports I love, but also discovering new ones.

What do you love about John’s? John’s library – it is definitely the superior college library in Durham.
Favourite newspaper section? I really like the opinion section and I enjoy reading controversial takes.

What do you love about John’s? By far the best thing about John’s has to be the free hot chocolate, perfect for a cold Durham evening.
Favourite newspaper section? Opinions or Politics – I enjoy reading different arguments on the same issue considering how a view is constructed and dismantled by another author.
